LIES BEHIND US AND WHAT
LIES BEFORE US ARE TINY MATTERS
COMPARED TO WHAT LIES WITHIN US"

The
purpose of VSA arts of Rhode Island's Exhibition
Program is
| |
§ To showcase the artistic
accomplishments of Rhode Island artists who have
disabilities |
 |
| |
§ To encourage additional organizations
and educators to provide high quality art programs
accessible to and inclusive of people with disabilities |
 |
| |
§ To increase the public awareness
of the talents and esthetic needs of people with
disabilities. |
 |
VSA
arts of Rhode Island sponsors a variety of exhibition
opportunities each year in fully accessible locations.
This program represents both emerging and established
artists with disabilities and serves to encourage artists
with disabilities by giving them a place to exhibit
and sell their artwork as well as resources to continue
developing their artistic skills.
In addition to providing a showcase for artists, VSA
arts of RI’s EXHIBITION PROGRAM also has the goals
of raising public awareness of our organization and
its mission, as well as challenging an audience's assumptions
about disability by reminding viewers that every person
has unique capabilities and that throughout RI there
are many talented artists with disabilities.
Please read our guidelines
carefully before contacting VSA arts of RI about upcoming
exhibition possibilities and deadlines.
